The neighborhoods are a mix of older homes (1950's-1970's) and several newer neighborhoods have been built in recent years. You can expect to pay in the high $100's + for a single family home and mid $100's + for a condo or townhouse.

Another draw to James Island is that it is only 5-10 minutes to Folly Beach (also known as the Edge of America). Also the James Island County Park is a great place to take the family for an afternoon getaway.
