The neighborhoods are a mix of older homes (1960's-1970's) and several newer neighborhoods have been built in recent years. You can expect to pay in the low $200's + for a single family home and mid to high $100's for a condo or townhouse.

Another draw to James Island is that it is only 5-10 minutes to Folly Beach (also known as the Edge of America). Also the James Island County Park is a great place to take the family for an afternoon getaway. Whether you are shopping at the many family owned shops, or dining at the numerous restaurants, James Island is Charleston's little slice of Heaven.
